For photography students on the make, the biggest allure of Providence is the institutions of higher learning. Providence College promises an arts program that will get students to experiment across media, and not just in photography. Rhode Island College offers concentrations in photography, media studies, graphic design, and printmaking to broaden your portfolio. Brown University's visual art program is based mostly in the studio for training in photography and digital imaging, but students are also encouraged to think about the emotions and beliefs that go into the work.
