Why Providence is a Great Place to Study Environmental

Providence realizes the value of our natural resources. The Rhode Island Resource Recovery Corporation, in cooperation with the Providence Public Works, is responsible for managing waste in the Providence region. A large part of that is a recycling initiative, which promotes reusing and reducing waste, as well as educating people on the impact that waste disposal has on air, land, water, and a general quality of living. This is one of many reasons why Providence is an ideal location to study the environment.
