There are several schools in the area with strong business programs. Brown University has a business economics program. Students can choose concentrations of economics, business economics, applied mathematics-economics, computer science-economics, engineering and economics, and mathematical economics. Also in Providence is Johnson & Wales University, which was founded in 1914 as a business school. Providence College, Rhode Island College, the University of Rhode Island, Roger Williams University, and the Community College of Rhode Island also offer business degrees.
